This short and easy trek is perfect for a first contact with Nepal. We will take you to a less-known part of the Annapurna region. This camping trek takes in terraced hillsides, picturesque villages and rhododendron forests, all with the constant backdrop of the magnificent Himalayas. Ideal for a family trip.

Itinerary

Day 1 Kathmandu (1300 m)

Arrival in Kathmandu, where you are welcomed by our staff outside the terminal and transfer to your hotel. Late afternoon, enjoy a guided walking tour through the narrow lanes of the old city. Discover the colorful and bustling local bazars and Durbar square, the site of the ancient royal palace, full of temples and monuments.

Day 2Kathmandu (1300 m)

Guided tour of Kathmandu valley. Boudhanath, one of the great Buddhist shrines of Nepal. Its stupa is the oldest and the largest of Nepal. You will enjoy the activity here where Tibetans, sherpas come to turn around this monument, reciting prayers and turning the prayer’s wheels.. Then, continue to Patan, the ancient royal capital also known as Lalitpur “city of fine arts ” and famous for its ancient Newari architecture. It is an open air museum full of palaces, pagodas, monasteries, temples and shrines ..

Day 3Pokhara (6h) - Pame (900m 2hrs drive)

Drive to Pokhara by private car on a winding mountain road. Short transfer to Pame from where we start our trek. Our camp overlooks the Macchapuchare “fish tail”, the sacred mountain of Nepal.

Day 4Panchase (2000 m 6hrs walk)

We walk up the valley passing through villages surrounded by rice paddies and terraced fields. We cross Panchase crest. We are rewarded with magnificient views of the Annapurna, Machhapuchhare.

Day 5Tilahar (1100 m 5hrs walk)

We follow Modi Khola River which originates in the Annapurna Sanctuary. We will cross a dense forest before descending to the village of Tilahar populated by Brahmins and Chetri,

Day 06Dobaato (2700 m 5 hrs walak)

We pass through several villages before reaching our camp where we enjoy superb views of Annapurna and Manaslu ranges.

Day 7 Jaljala (2700 m 5hrs walk)

Today we climb gradually up to Jaljala with the view of Dhaulagiri mountains. Camp side in rhododendron forest.

Day 08Poon Hill / Ghorepani (2850 m 5hrs walk )

The trail continues through rhododendron forest up to Poon Hill (3100m), one of the best vantage points to admire a panoramic view of the western part of the Himalayas.

Day 09Birethanti (1000 m 6hrs walk)-Pokhara (900m)

We descend through various landscapes (forest, rice fields) until we reach Birethanti,, our last village on trek. We will transfer you to Pokhara by private vehicle. Free time to enjoy a stroll along the Fewa lake or start a bit of shopping

Day 10Kathmandu

Drive to airport and flight to Kathmandu. You will get stunning views of the Annapurna range. On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to wander or do your final souvenir shopping.

Transfer to the airport to catch your international flight.
