Itinerary

Day 1Kathmandu (1250m)

Arrival in Kathmandu, reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Late afternoon guided walk through the old neighborhoods and around the former royal palace in Kathmandu. Nepal’s capital is a city made for the pleasure of discovery on foot. Within a few meters, you will make a leap of several centuries in history and discover the most striking contrasts.
The dinner will be offered by our agent in a cozy restaurant run by a Tibeto-Nepalese Family.
Night at Tushita Rest House or similar

Day 2 Kopan

Morning tour of Boudhanath and Pashupathinath, about 4km from the center of Kathmandu. Pashupathinath, Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is the most revered place of Nepal and is also nicknamed the little Benares Nepal! The famous stupa of Boudhanath, the largest in the world, is the Mecca of Buddhism with a concentration of Tibetan refugees. The visit is also a very good opportunity to visit a Tibetan Buddhist monastery. Then, drive to Kopan, to visit the monasteries and the incense factory run by nuns.

Day 3Patan

Also known as Lalitpur meaning “city of fine arts,” this city is a veritable outdoor museum, with its palaces, pagodas, monasteries, temples and shrines. For centuries, metal artisans are working. Their reputation shines in all the Himalayan country. We visit the traditional villages with houses of brick Bungamati Kokana, located a few miles from Patan. They are surrounded by the most beautiful rice fields of the valley.

Day 4Bhaktapur

Departure to Bhaktapur, real medieval Nepalese city classified by UNESCO as World Heritage, is undoubtedly the most beautiful city in the Kathmandu valley because it has kept its medieval appearance intact. Visit the historic center and the place of potters. Free time in the late afternoon to wander round the streets

Day 5 Nagarkot (2000 m)

Road to Panauti, about 18km southeast of Bhaktapur, on the road to Tibet. Panauti is a beautiful small town inhabited by typical Newars (native people of the Kathmandu Valley). Visit restored temples. We will visit one of the oldest temple: Changu Narayan. Afternoon drive to Nagarkot (45m away), a great place to watch the Himalayan range. Along the small road winding through beautiful scenery and rice terraces.
Night in the cottage at Nagarkot on half board.

Day 6 Chitwan (200 m) 180 km 6 hrs drive

Wake up early morning to watch the sunrise over the Himalayas and back to hotel for breakfast. Drive to Chitwan National Park south of Kathmandu in the Terai.Chitwan houses the very famous horned rhinoceroses. Upon arriving, settle into the resort on the edge of the park and near a Tharu village. Program Overview: all activities will be led by a naturalist.
Night at Maruni Sanctuary Lodge or similar and dinner included.

Day 7Chitwan (200 m)

Day dedicated to the discovery of fauna through various activities (riding on elephant back, jeep safari, boat etc. ….
Night at Maruni Sanctuary Lodge or similar. Full board

Day 8Pokhara (900 m) 90 km 5 hrs drive

Beautiful drive to the Nepalese Riviera located on the Lakeside Fewa and at the foot of Annapurna. Visit the International Mountain Museum and free time to wander along the lake. Boat trip in the afternoon to enjoy the view over the snowy mountains.
Night at Trek O Tel or similar

Day 9: Bandipur (1200 m) 140 km 5 hr drive

Rising early to see the sunrise from Sarangkot the Himalayan chain and the Machhapuchare (the famous “fish tail). Departure to the pretty village of Bandipur inhabited by Newars, visit its bazaar and traditional houses. Beautiful panorama of the Himalayas.
Night in Old inn or similar and dinner included

Day 10 Bandipur

Walking to the Magar village Ramkot (4-5 h A / R) or finding your rhythm to the rural lifestyle of the inhabitants of this region.

Day 11Kathmandu 130 km 6 hrs drive

Back to Kathmandu. On arrival transfer to hotel and free time. Night at Tushita Rest House or similar

Day 12: Departure

Free time before transfer to the airport
